Huawei MA5800-X15 has the following powerful functions:

Access function

  • Multiple access mode support: Fully supports GPON, 10G GPON (XG-PON and XGS-PON), EPON, 10G EPON, P2P GE and 10GE and other access technologies, which can meet the needs of different user scenarios, such as FTTH, FTTD, FTTB, FTTC and D-CCAP and other network construction modes, to achieve full service convergence access of various services such as home access, enterprise access, mobile bearer and Wi-Fi hotspot backhaul on a single optical fiber network.

  • Large-capacity access capability: With 15 service slots, each service slot has a throughput of up to 200G. A single frame can meet the 100M non-blocking access of 32,000 households, which can meet the access needs of large-scale users and provide greater convenience for service configuration and expansion.

Service processing and bearer function

  • Intelligent service support: The service board adopts a programmable NP architecture, supports SDN-based intelligent services, and can realize the rapid deployment of new services. In addition, the device also supports virtual access network functions, which can be used to carry out multi-service intelligent operations or network wholesale services, thereby providing users with a better service experience.

  • Comprehensive Layer 2 and Layer 3 features: Supports Layer 2 features such as VLAN+MAC forwarding, SVLAN+CVLAN forwarding, PPPoE+, DHCP Option82, as well as Layer 3 features such as static routing, RIP, OSFP/OSPFv3, IS-IS, BGP/BGP4+, ARP, DHCP relay, VRF, MPLS&PWE3 LDP, RSVP-TE, MPLS OAM, Tunnel protection switching, TDM/Eth PWE3, PW protection switching, MPLS BGP IP VPN, IPv6 IPv4 and IPv6 dual stack, IPv6 Layer 2 and Layer 3 forwarding, DHCPv6 relay, etc., which can meet the complex service needs of different users.

  • Data encryption: Supports data encryption functions such as IPsec VPN, etc., to encrypt and transmit sensitive data in the network, prevent data from being stolen or tampered with, and ensure data security and integrity.

  • Redundant design: Adopts redundant designs such as dual main control and dual power supply. When one main control board or power supply fails, the other can automatically take over the work to ensure uninterrupted operation of the equipment.
